Our cheesy-wheely-melty-flamey-ey-ey experience in Quito
Queso - What?-Oh!
Cheesy greatness
We were walking around Quito trying to find somewhere casual to not lose our hearing with deafining screams around us, as everywhere was playing the Ecaudorian soccer game at the time. GOAL!!!! We luckily stumbled upon Queso because the food was delicious…so. much. cheese…*wipes drool* and the service was great!
A classic creamy burratta with cherry tomatoes and caramelized walnuts was a perfect way to start a cheesy experience. I’m often skeptical of getting burrata outside of Italy to be honest because no where else can really compare, but it held its own for sure!
The highlight was a flaming tableside made pasta in a giant wheel of Italian, grana padano, cheese. (I would personally live in a giant wheel of cheese). It was quite a show for two flamers.
Anyway, here are some cheese jokes to round out our review.
When shouldn’t you believe a word your cheese is saying? When it’s too Gouda be true
What is cheese without a cracker? Crackalackin!
Did you hear the cheesy weather forecast? Rain with light Bries!
