Traveling to gay destinations is special because you get to be yourself and be more carefree than in places that don’t cater to gays. These are our top gay destinations in the world.
Our #1 Gay Destination:
Puerto Vallarta

What makes Puerto Vallarta our number one gay destination in the world? It’s a gay paradise. The gay district of Zona Romantica has everything gay in one walkable area.
There are several gay hotels and resorts, including Almar Luxury LGBT Resort, which features the pool and beach club, Mantamar. There’s the older but more affordable Blue Chairs Resort and other gay spots right on the beach. Any beach day in PV is a great day.
Further away from the beach you have plenty of gay offerings from bars that offer drag shows and gogos like La Noche and Pacos Ranch to hard core circuit parties like Industry and Cici Slaughters. You also have strip clubs that bare it all and a bathhouse at Spartacus. Once again, this is all within walking distance and surrounded by great food from street tacos to fine dining.
Outside of Zona Romantica Puerto Vallarta offers a plethora of things to do from whale watching to ziplining. We break down our three favorite activities and three favorite restaurants in PV here.
Runners Up:
Sitges

Just 45 minutes from Barcelona Sitges is another gay beach destination. This town was home to Spains first gay bar. It’s currently home to trendy bars like Bourbons, dance clubs, and Bukkake Cruise Club….the name says it all on that one. There’s also two nudes beaches in Sitges. Elite Hotel is a gay men only hotel that provides a superb experience, that’s only a 4 minute walk from the beach.
Wilton Manors/Fort Lauderdale
Wilton Manors is so gay, even the police cars are rainbow. Like others on the list, Sebastian Beach, the gay beach is nearby. There’s no shortage of nightlife in Wilton Manors, all within a few blocks. There’s The Manor night club, Hunters, the Eagle and more for dancing the night away but also strip clubs right next door. Do yourself a favor and stay at Casa HERMÈS Gay Guesthouse. You won’t be disappointed.
Berlin

Berlin’s reputation as a gay-friendly haven is well-earned, especially if you’re into kink. The Schöneberg district is historic, hosting Berlin’s first gay village. Bars like Hafen and Mutschmann’s offer varied atmospheres, from cozy to kinky. Kreuzberg and Neukölln are also emerging as queer hotspots.
